Electric trams running on batteries.
The Project
Le Domaine des Grottes de Han operates nice tramways dating from the 30’s to transport their visitors from Han centre to the entrance of the cave. Even though it’s in a Natura 2000 environment, these tramways were still moved by old, smoking and noisy Diesel engines.
To switch to a nuisance less motorisation, Green Propulsion proposed a vintage-look, battery-electric solution. The tough challenge was to quickly charge back the battery within the 6 minutes when the passengers climb onboard.
