The sporty plug-in hybrid Imperia GP
The Project
From 1904 to 1958, Imperia – the largest Belgian OEM – produced more than 20,000 cars. A 8-cylinder Imperia won the 1922 Belgian GP.
In 2010, the new “Imperia Automobiles” mandated Green Propulsion to fully develop its Imperia: the 3 key requirements were a vintage, typical “Imperia” design, low energy consumption / emissions and high dynamic performances. The resulting Imperia “GP” is an innovative plug-in hybrid, open-top, 2-seater. A prototype validated the concept. Later on, a pre-series succeeded the EU type approval tests.
